Biography: I was born in San Francisco, a 5th generation San Franciscan. During the summer months I enjoy fly-fishing and hiking at my family's summer home near Soda Springs, CA. I have had my own accounting practice for over 20 years and am currently the MPS treasurer.

Biography: I taught World History, Humanities, Psychology and Government at San Rafael High School from 1966 to 1994. I'm a professional musician who played string bass in the Oakland Symphony and many other orchestras. I play classical and pop piano. I retired from Choir Director and pianist at the First Congregational Church of San Rafael in June of 209 after 23 years over 1000 Sundays.
Using markers, I'm a sketch artist who labels my work, Abstract Fantasy. I provide the abstract, you provide the fantasy. Two of my marker (felt pen) paintings were shown at a Marin County Fair.
My philosophical interests include: the meaning of life; universal ethical codes; the nature of humor; and aesthetics. Currently I am writing a book on what people believe to be the meaning of life.

After spending decades in public service, I moved to private practice as an investor, specializing in helping individuals achieve their early retirement goals. Taking my own medicine, in 1999 I elected to retire and travel. After visiting Europe, Asia, South America, I found that there is no place like the Bay area. I serve as your MPS President.
